Rosario Napolitano räägib Itaalia ja Eesti vahelistest diplomaatilistest suhetest kahe maailmasõja vahel

On 5 September, one of the world’s leading moral philosophers, Professor Jeff McMahan from the University of Oxford, will give a public lecture on the ethics of killing and just war theory. His lecture marks the publication of a special issue of a philosophy journal focused on the Russia-Ukraine war. The event will be held from 16:00 to 18:00 in White Hall at the University of Tartu Museum.

Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students from the University of Tartu are invited to an international student conference ”Bridges in the Baltics“, held at Vilnius University in Lithuania from 4 to 5 October 2024.

The event will take place on 23 April at 16.15.

On 8 April, the conference “Out of the Shadows. Unearthing Women’s Stories of the Past” will be held in the main building of the University of Tartu.

The University of Tartu is inviting future international students to come student shadowing and live one day as a university student.

On 21 November, from 16:15 to 17:45, Nelli Piattoeva, Professor of sociology of education at Tampere University, will give a lecture in Room 204 at Lossi 36.

On 27 June, the global higher education consultancy Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) launched its World University Rankings 2024, adopting a methodology that has undergone considerable change. The University of Tartu is ranked 358th and again tops the list of Estonian universities.

Elmar Gams, a doctoral student of the Unversity of Tartu, was chosen as the winner of the final round held on 10 March at the University of Vilnius in Lithuania.
